In these few years we have all noticed Bollywood’s fascination for remaking south-Indian films. Tevar, too is a remake of the Telugu film Okkadu.
The story revolves around Pintoo Shukla (Arjun Kapoor), a kabaddi player from Agra who saves Radhika (Sonakshi Sinha) from an unwanted marriage and hides her in his home.
However not many people are familiar with the fact that Tevar is actually the fourth remake of the Telugu blockbuster. The other three being- Ghilli (2005), Ajay (2006), Jor (2008). Now how Tevar performs at the box office, that only time will tell.
The trailer of the film looks promising and for a change we are hoping that Sonakshi is not playing a dumb, masala-flick babe again. 2014 was definitely Arjun’s year and this time the standards set by both; the critics and the audience is even higher. Last but not the least, Manoj Bajpayee, who is playing a negative role, never fails to steal the show. The dialogues shown in the promos are worth hooting for. Superman, Radha, Let’s celebrate and Madamiyaa are currently topping the charts this week. We hope, like the music, the film too turns out to be a hit.
Tevar is a Bollywood action film, which for a change does not star Salman, Akshay or Ajay. Sonakshi’s role looks different (hopefully). Moreover we look forward to Manoj Bajpayee’s paisa vasool dialogue delivery and Arjun’s tevar.
THE MOVIE REVIEW FOR TEVAR COMES IN ON 09 JANUARY 2015. MAKE SURE YOU READ IT BEFORE YOU SEE THE FILM!
This movie fanatic is the youngest and the only girl in the team. She feels that one should never withdraw from the reality of life but at the same time having your own utopian world isn’t bad either. Maybe this is what inspires her to be a storyteller and be optimistic about life. After movies, her second love is ‘the red velvet cake’.
