TheMovieWala will go regional (Punjabi) from this week and what cool film to start with! Bambukat is not your usual run-of-the-mill / slapstick comedy Punjabi film. Bambukat deals with the simpler things in life and believes that story telling is an art.

The trailer itself tells you that Punjabi Cinema has not seen something like this before. Let’s see if the screenplay supports the oh-so-different story. Ammy Virk and Binnu Dhillon are two of the most sort after faces in the industry and promise us some entertainment of the highest order.

Do watch the film on 29 July! Also, TheMovieWala will bring you the review after the premiere itself!

MUSIC REVIEW:

  • JIND:

Sung by the amazing Amrinder Gill and lyrics by Charan Likhari, Jind, os the song of rebellion. A song that shouts of a man determined. A man with a hurt ego.
The music is average but the lyrics are strong with this one.

  • KAINTHE WALA:

Sung by Ammy himself (and Kaur B), Kainthe Wala is a typical dance-on-a-wedding song. The music is the regular bhangra beat but Ammy’s voice takes the song as a whole, a notch up. Kainthe Wala will sound amazing on Dolby Surround in a multiplex, guaranteed.

  • LANGHE PAANI:

Langhe Paani is sung by Prabh Gill and it’s BRILLIANT lyrics are by Vinder Nathumajra. It is a must hear! Slow, sad and meaningful; they don’t make ’em anymore. A rare gem, this one.

  • RAKHI SONEYA VA:

Sung by Ammy and Rashi Sood, lyrics by Veet Baljit; Rakhi Sohneya Ve is a melodious, romantic song. Again, Ammy adds so much energy to the song by lending his voice. Definitely worth listening!

TheMovieWala gives Jatinder Shah’s music of Bambukat, a 3 / 5.

The film makers have kept four short songs to keep the flow of a very crisp story. 29 July 2016, Bambukat will be in theaters world wide.
